What is MINDFULNESS?

Mindfulness has become very popular in recent years. It is a way of slowing down, of being more aware of the world around, of being more aware of ourselves and our automatic reactions, of being kind to ourselves and others, of gaining a perspective so that we can choose how to act as a result.  

Mindfulness meditation is a way of achieving the above aims through regular meditation.

Mindfulness is consistent with the Christian Faith and can enhance the lives of many Christians. There is a strong strand now of Christian mindfulness and more of this will appear on this website in due course.
